I thought it would be fun to do a portrait of my wife and kids as Super Heroes. This is the initial sketch done in Photoshop. I plan on inking it in Illustrator and then going back to Photoshop to finish the coloring. I'm not sure what exactly I want but I'm excited to see how it comes out.

This year I am going to put together some promotional material. I want to post some images that I might use in a catalog. It is good though, not to show everything. You can over do your exposure. You want to show them something they are not use to seeing. If the target audience sees the same piece over and over then it's not new anymore.

Sometimes I get asked to do large graphic design projects that are completely different from my illustrations. Even though the banner below is subtle, and it looks like a group shot, it actually involved taking pictures on separate days, in a different lighting, and superimposing them into the piece. I love to take on different challenges. Thanks to SWE and Ramona for the opportunity.

It has been a while since I last posted something. I have been pretty busy. I did manage to get out a painting that I wanted to do. I approached this with the thought of finishing it in three hours. When three hours were up then so was I. It was fun to do, I didn't get bogged down on it and start to loose my interest in it. I think I will do a Santa or Snowman for the holidays. It will be another three hour painting.
